Who are you designing for?
- Dominatrix in the prostitute world, the sex workers world.

What is the relationship to the collection?
- We find a lot of art in the website that could have this darkish aesthetic and real it on a visual way to the underground scene of dominatrix.

Which concept are you interfacing?
- Zuzia from our group had the idea of transformatione of the art pieces of the website to a art piece with a "filter" that could represent the dominatrix clashes estheticaly. But that her idea and I feel like I have to experiment a little bit with different ideas before knowing what I defenetly wanna do for my personal interface.

What type of interaction is fitting for this?
- ???

What type of medium is fit in for this?
- well it depends of the path I choose but I think it could be created in a physical example and try to digitalised so it matches the website and the underground dominatrix would also have aces to it.

In genera what are you trying to accomplish through the interface you want to design?
- I want to show the dominatrix world and talk about thing a-that are normal in the dark and not often shown. Then all of this put it on a online exhibition so it can create the interface and be shown.

Which visual elements have you already collected/ designed that can be useful for this?
- Well the first idea the I mentioned, but in general i want toileting experiment much more before choosing anything yet.

-creating a series of work related to dominatrix inspiring on the type of work I see on the web, that could enter the public space and therefore enter the art website.

- Creatin an online exibition about a series of dominatrix art.

I had some questions about the dominatrix practice and tried to contact a dominatrix during the holidays to have an interview but didn't succeed, so I found most of my answers in long googling hours.

Could you describe just like what it is that you do?

-So I'm a professional dominatrix and what that means is that people generally come to me to experience a power exchange to experience a session or scene in which i am the dominant and there the submissive play can be everything from light to heavy have you play might include whips and chains and stuff you know then there's also like they might like being encased in like a full leather body bag just feeling that feeling of enclosure but they're not going to be into any like sort of pain stuff does that sound intense.

How is the type of person that goes to a dominatrix?

Is not only Alpha males alos students, woman, couples… Is an integral part of you mental and sexual health.

-I love this one because I really love to dispel the myth I think many people think that the only kinds of people who seek the services of a professional dominatrix are like high powered Alpha males and that's not all the case you know a I see some women I see some couples I see some people who are students some people save up the whole year to see me for two hours you know which I really appreciate. I think many people see it as an integral part of their like mental health and their sexual health which the two of which are intertwined and they make efforts to make sure that they can do it in their life.


Do you use like devices or a lot of accessories in your work?

-I actually have some accessories here … when you hear the whip crack it's actually doing like a mini Sonic boom so it's actually breaking the sound barrier … you know when you see in movies someone will be getting flogged or something like that and like after the second stroke they're bleeding? yeah pletely unrealistic.

Is there a special treat or something that you're known for? found a reply from (Princess Marks)

-My favorite thing has become ballbusting and that’s where someone really is dying to get hit on the baals.
People have a hard time understanding that this other person is really desiring to be physically hurt, but if you're able to have a conversation with a person you know are they boundaries and you give them what they want.

There is a big stereotype of putting dominatrix on the same bag as sex workers when actually there is no penetration whatsoever. What are other types of stereotypes ?

How do you feel about seeing married men?

-It used to really trouble me and bother me I had a really hard time kind of grappling with the fact that people were coming to me and they weren't letting their partners know, I remembered that I had broken up with someone I dated for three years because I wanted to do dominating things in bed and this person wanted to do them only once a month or something as a concession and I only wanted to do vanilla sex like once a month as a concession. But I think not everyone is in a position to break up with someone just because this one part of them is unsatisfied and we often forget how sex influences our lifes and how important it is.

TYPO EXERCISE

I decided they were to extravagant fonts and tried to choose others to fit the aesthetic I was starting to design.

I also really like this type of fonts I feel like it gives a lot of personality just like the deominatrix, they need a lot of personality to do what they doo and I really like the match. Or since the liquify tool pushes the text in directions were is not suppose to go it can relate to dominatrix since she is making the other person whatever she wants, just like the text. Also since it looks like a fluid it can be interpreted as erotic.
I just need to find a proper way to create something legible.

Some font that could work with the liquified tool and still be legible.

Also about the Andale mono font I thought since it had the same space for each letter it can get confusing so I will experiment with it and try it for the testing but will try to receive some feedback to see if it actually works or not.

I started to get a little further of my principals sketches so I started to look for more inspiration to create this type of collage I had in mind.

My main idea is to present the artworks and around it create some illustrations ore images to create a form of collage that can also contain dominatrix objects or a hint I a way the comets the 2 worlds, this is just some ideas bi I want to experiment much more with text and textures.

I also want to create a QR code that redirect to the part of the portfolio were the art piece is with its explanation like so:

Final poser

After texting my interface (video in the testing part f my hot glue) and getting feedback from my tester and Megan I started to modify my poster into a promotion that would attract more Amsterdam red district people too the Rotterdam art, in this case to Aubane Berthommé Martinez.

For this is started to look into what type of decoration the brothels or the windows have, some sex toys webs and in general designs of sex related things.

A lo of neon signs and red/pinc colours are the main eye caching for me so I'm going to try to redesign the poster with this implements.

Main eye catch

So I started experimenting with neon lights trying to make it look like a window of the red district, I still wanted to keep some of the ideas of the first out come, spatially the font. But after trying a lot of possibilities I realised it was just not compatible with the ideas that were starting to work so I kept the liquified tool that was the main inspiration i had in the previous poster and started two play with forms and colours.

The colours weren't working the idea was there but it wasn't quite right yet, so I stoped for the day and came back the day after.

And this actually worked visually, with different shades of red so it wouldn't get repetitive, but still incorporing the red district vibes and showing the art works as a central piece. But I was still missing something as they told me during feed back setons, the QR code.
It was a good idea to put a QR code that sent you directly to the portfolio of Aubane B.M. (The artist I'm promoting) But form the point of view of my user group who had no idea of the project it was quite confusing, so I decided to make a intermediary web that would briefly explain and give info about the objective of the project to my user group.

It was much better but now I had to design 2 more and while I was designing the 2 one I realised it looked much better if the shape was less intense so the focus would be on the art piece, and so I did I closed the shape and gave it less extravagant shapes. But the I also realised in the second poster the bacround of the art was reddish and its looked really good with the combination of the neon light so I decided to apply this to the rest of the posters and this was the outcome.

PS: I'm sorry I forgot to save the previous versions of the web.

I basically started with the idea of creating 3 QR codes for each poster with then a link to Aubane B.M. portfolio, but the app I was using (Adobe XD) didn't aloud to create more than 1 project without paying. So I decided to create 1 web with a front page that directed you to the 3 different options.
